CUSTOMER RESONSIBILITIES
Responsibility for equipment remains with the Customer from the time they receive the equipment until it’s returned (or picked up by Chicagoland Event Rentals Staff at the pre-arranged scheduled time). Be sure equipment is secured when not in use & protected from the weather. We charge for equipment returned dirty, for replacement costs of missing, broken, or damaged items (including transport boxes).
When You Come To Pick Up Equipment
- Come to Chicagoland Event Rentals Front Office first to sign Contract.
- Bring your Driver’s License & Credit Card in with you (NO Debit Cards)
- Know the Name & Phone Number the equipment is Reserved under.
- PREPARE YOUR VEHICLE BEFORE you get to our Loading Area – Make room by emptying out unnecessary items, take out or lay down seats. Without seeing your vehicle we cannot determine if it’s large enough to carry your order. We provide measurements & weights for most of our equipment on our website. YOU SHOULD MEASURE your vehicle to verify if it will fit or not (or plan for multiple trips).
- COME PREPARED TO LOAD THE EQUIPMENT YOU RENT! Our Warehouse Staff are NOT required to load your rented equipment but will be happy to “assist” you ONLY. Many people ask if it’s appropriate to tip – you are welcome to tip what you feel is appropriate.
- It’s your responsibility to secure the equipment &/or trailer BEFORE you leave our lot – Binder Twine is available free of charge. Our insurance company does not permit us to secure your equipment that you rent & transport.
- Chicagoland Event Rentals is not responsible for any damages to your vehicle that may happen during loading.
- Before you leave our property YOU ARE responsible to check the condition of & count all the equipment to verify that you received everything listed on your Contract. You will be asked to initial that you counted & received everything! (You will be charged for any Missing Equipment & transport containers.)
- We’re not a fast-food restaurant! We are well aware that you have many things to accomplish when planning an event & time is a premium. We can not predict how busy we will be when you arrive & ask for your patience as you wait your turn. We operate on a first come first served basis & it’s our goal to have you in & out as quickly as possible with everything you ordered. Please be patient & follow the instructions our staff give you for lining up vehicles in an orderly fashion so as not to block our neighboring residents.
- We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to close of business!
- During the month of JUNE: Friday & Monday Will-Call Pickups & Returns may take as long as 2 hours!
When You Return Equipment
- Return Equipment to the Back Returns area first (the same area you picked up from).

- After verification that everything is returned in an approved manner, your Contract will be closed & a copy emailed to you.
REPLACEMENT, REPAIR, & CLEANING CHARGES WILL BE ASSESSED on any equipment lost or damaged (the Customer is responsible from the time they pick up until it’s been returned). A charge will be assessed on items returned but not cleaned. PLEASE make special arrangements in advance when you know you will not be able to clean items before returning. A charge will be made for all boxes or crates not returned.
Water Units
Water units cannot be set up at parks since a dedicated water supply and water hose are required. This is something that parks do not provide for their guests. If you rent a water unit for your home, Chicagoland Event Rentals does not provide the water hose.
Water Slide Deflation
If you deflate a water slide, you must first turn the water off and empty the pool! Failure to do this will flood your yard and result in extra charges for additional labor and equipment required to pick up a slide that’s full of water.
Tables, Chairs and Umbrellas
When delivering tables and chairs, Chicagoland Event Rentals DOES NOT SET THESE ITEMS UP, we simply stack them in the area you request. After use, the tables and chairs should be stacked prior to Chicagoland Event Rentals arrival for pickup. Customer can request the option to have CTPR set up and tear down, and a fee will be applied to your order (the fee is determined based on the number of tables and chairs being set up.
Electricity Responsibility
NOTE: Providing adequate electricity is solely the Customer’s responsibility. Customer must make sure there is an adequate number of electrical outlets with sufficient power to keep the units working properly. If there are no electrical outlets available at the setup location (i.e. parks, fields, parking lots), then a generator will be required. Our generators are for rent.
Electrical Outlets
All outlets must be capable of providing a dedicated minimum of 15 AMPS for each blower. Make sure the electrical outlets you intend to use are equipped with a GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER (GFCI). Newer electrical outlets usually are equipped as such. Please note that insufficient electricity can create major problems during the course of the rental period, therefore, we urge the Customer to make preparations and examine electricity outlets to ensure they will provide sufficient electricity.
Extension Cords
A 50-foot extension cord will be provided for all inflatable rentals. Please let us know if the setup site is further than 25 feet from the outlet, so that we bring an adequate number of extension cords. All extension cords are 3-prong cords that are UL and CE approved.
We sincerely appreciate your business & look forward to helping you CELEBRATE!
